The love of my life caught me looking at a watch on line and as usual asked if I liked it and given a suitable response she has purchased it and hopefully here in a few days, what a girl 🥰

Obviously a pic or two in due course.

I knew I should have waited before posting my summary contact sheet - the Viceroy was a late addition. Even so, I sold more watches than I bought, which was a goal for this year. The collection is still completely theme-less, but they are all watches I enjoy, and I have a lot of day-to-day variety.

The love of my life saw me looking at a watch online yesterday online and just said “NO MORE WATCHES” as she walked past me. That lovely Miami colored Sea Wolf passed me by.

See a lot of some FOMO around watch forums - don't do it, get for you only.

I end up fine. Bought some, sold some. Still got some watches and happy with it. ::psy::

This has been a busy year for me, it might be too much work to wrangle up all the pics in one place, but I'll try.

Picked up a Yachtmster in March as a trade for my extra GSOTM.

In April I picked up a 1913 Hamilton pocket watch for my brother's birthday.

That same week in April I did a partial trade of the Yachtmaster towards a Rolex ceramic Pepsi GMT II

In May I bought a 1998 Speedmaster Pro 3572.50 for my son's birth year watch, to give next May for graduation

In June I picked up a Scurfa Diver One in a bake sale on the forum to raise money for Watchdaddy1

Then in July I did a partial trade of my SubC ND for the SD43

Also in July I picked up a Luminox chronograph to match my 3-hand version that I bought 5 years ago

Then in August I bought a 3-month old Tudor Pepsi GMT from a forum member, and added a bracelet

In September I snagged a Timex Q and Seiko "Save the Seas" Turtle

In October I snagged a used Hamilton GMT at half price

In November I snagged a new Luminox at half price

I also won an Oris 65 November LE in November

Arriving last week in December was a Glycine Combat Sub that I pre-ordered in June

Around the same time I received a pair of Hodinkee Swatch 1986 limited (still in the boxes, www pics here)

And arriving next week is an Aquadive Bathyscape GMT LE that I pre-ordered in September

My Rolex Deep Blue had a 50:50 chance of being here before the end of the year, so we will see...

Today I gave away the pair of Swatch Hodinkee Sistem51 1986 as Christmas gifts to a couple of friends who are twin brothers who work together and share the same office, so they got twin watches. I'm giving the Glycine Combat Sub to my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas next week, and already resized it for him. I shipped the Scurfa to my brother for Christmas as well as the Hamilton pocket watch and a Citizen perpetual calendar.

So, 5 of the above 2019 acquisitions have been given away as gifts so far, plus one Citizen that I gave my son 5 years ago who gave it to my brother for his birthday 2 weeks ago.

Fun little year here.

The 60’s Speedies have plenty of warmth and character. Love ‘em.

The 36mm Explorer is tough to beat in terms of versatility and comfort. No surprises there.

The G-Shock was my first toe in the JDM waters, and the upgrade in materials and build quality is worth the extra clams. Bonus points for the model # being GW-5000.

The Marathon Mara-Glo was the sleeper hit. It was my backup watch for a 3 month trip to NZ. When my Straight Writing had to be airlifted back to the US for service, the Marathon stepped up. Surfing, hiking, winery touring, you name it, this champ handled it. In spite of being 34mm and in spite of being quartz, it proved to be a surprisingly likable watch.

Cheers all. Happy New Year.

Most of my 2019 entries, not counting the two chronos I previously posted...

Omegas:

I found the parts needed to complete this one:

A few bracelets, among others:

A little gem found by chance:

I discovered that the full size Kontikis are ... well, nice. Duh.

Late & early (correct bracelet in the mail right now):

A Goldengines for some diversity:

... and a Zenith DH I did not take a proper picture of.

Too many of them, I'll probably refocus in 2020. 🙄

Turns out, I wasn't finished... 😬 Latest arrivals:

The yachtingraf was a parts watch, missing a crown but should look good with some work... The lollipop on the lip is uncommon, I love it 🥰

Had a great year and found some real gems, I’m all-in on Omega these days and a long way from tiring of the brand.

This is the latest arrival, came in a couple days ago to finish off the year, and I’m pretty thrilled about it.
It’s an MSN-grade 2471, a reference I’ve been looking for for a few years in this kind of condition.

Happy holidays to all.

Lots of embarrassing stuff out. A few decent item in:

My wife is getting serious about going back to school in the next year or two, so the watch budget's gonna dry up a bit. Hoping to maybe just add an Omega 300M sometime in the new year...

In a year filled with rising prices and hype watches, 2019 was quiet for me and more about appreciating the watches I have!

These two went to forum members

While this came from a local forum

Planning to make more moves in the collection this upcoming year. Happy holidays all!

Hi everybody,

In 2019, I joined Omegaforums and appreciate contents and discussions even if everything around the Speedmaster looks too much crazy for me 😀

These year was a kind of transition time for me since that 2018 was the opportunity for me to achieve my main target regarding Tissot 70's collection.
So in 2019 I bought my first Omega Dynamic and start to look on Tissot 50's Watches, but wasn't able to refuse some good opportunity from the 70's

And I let some of my 70's enjoying new owners ...

Lovely Longines, I think I’ve already claimed dibs on it? Don’t hurry though! 😉
