Nothing new 3 drivers have fully paid spots currently I think.

Info I found on contracts for current F1 Drivers was actually pretty pedestrian compared to other pro sports that have caps. Seb and Lewis made around $30 million in 2017. Raikkonen made only $7 million. Sainz made $750k.

It was a joke anyway considering it's probably left pocket right pocket for the Stroll family now.

This isn't a paid spot on a team. This is a whole freaking team. Are they going to demote Perez to #2 status and let Stroll be #1 or issue team orders to let him in front when he's behind?

So a couple thoughts...
What happens to Williams now that the Stroll money is gone? Will they be fine without him?
Who is going to fill that presumably vacant seat? Ocon?
If Ocon is out, would the Red Bull camp be interested?
Force India changes name to Force Canada? lol

If it's PER and STR I'll be really interested to see how STR performs against him. This might be an unpopular comment but at the end of his career, MAS was not a very good driver. His final years ALO and BOT outperformed him head to head the only driver he outperformed was STR. I think PER is going to end up dominating STR head to head.

This is probably true. I always thought that PER was a decent enough driver.

In other news, apparently the possibility that McLaren may be fielding an Indycar is not dead after all.
If this were to actually happen I would plan on saying bye-bye to ALO.

I like how Horner came out and said Fernando causes chaos and RB isn't going to consider him. Not surprised at all after Fernando spent 3 years publicly humiliating Honda and now RB is switching to them. In the interest of having a harmonious relationship with Honda, RB probably went to bat for Honda.

At least racing the Indy 500 is 100% assured.

I went back and looked for any attribution and couldn’t find any. Other sources said rumor. So maybe not. Thanks sky sports for posting a rumor as fact.

I have not seen any more news regarding McLaren fielding a full time IndyCar.
At this point I would be even less surprised if they are.

There's no way he's not going to at least do Indy 500. I'm not sure if he really wants to do a full season of Indy racing in places like Birmingham, Newton, or whatever other small cities Indy races in.

I dunno though...
If he really wants that triple crown (not sure if he really does or not) I think it would be in his best interest to be a full-time Indy driver.
But yeah I would be totally shocked if he did not participate in the Indy 500.
