It's race week! Who else is watching?

 

I am a UK resident so I know I will have problems watching as I will be in the French Alps next weekend so I will have to rely on Radio 5 Live which is a real bummer. Ferrari did some stonking times in testing so it could be even closer this year..lets hope so.

 

Yes, but I don't think we saw Mercedes at their full potential during testing.

And I will just go ahead and put it out there so there is no confusion: I dislike Lewis Hamilton.

I am a Ferrari fan (as well as a fan of Vettel), however I do support HAAS ('Murica!) even though I am not a fan of Romain Grosjean.
I suppose I am also a RedBull fan as I like both Max and Daniel.
And I sure do hope the Fernando Alonso has some better luck this year.

 

It's going to be a very close season with Red Bull making it a three horse race.

Mclaren, as much as I despise them, will be the dark horse, I won’t count them out.

 

Heh yeah I am interested to see how they perform, as well as Toro Rosso...considering.

 

Yep, cannot wait. For Vercingetorix I shall be getting the Rocket Red out in anticipation.

Am I correct in thinking it's the last year (poss 2) of F1 on terrestrial tv for the UK? Then we're proper stuffed unless you want to pay Murdoch?

By the way my wife is a published author. Years ago she wrote a letter to On Track magazine that was published, about Ron Dennis and his hypocrital ways. Ron was giving Ferrari crap about team orders, then gave team orders for his own team. There is My Choice Michael Andretti ad in that magazine if I recall. Blue Speedmaster Reduced.

 

We normally head to Silverstone for a long weekend and some overly comfortable camping but having a fallow year due to being stitched up last time by the whole ' cheapest tickets will be cheapest ' thing. Prob head abroad next year.
Hungary is on our list, heard it's great for spectators.

 

Not sure the result will be much different than last year. Mercedes were pretty good during test while Mclaren struggled. Maybe Haas and Renault will be closer to the top 4? Lets see if Ferrari/Red Bull can mount a proper challenge.

 

This season will be great!! The race between the 2 Mercedes drivers will be fascinating. Ferrari looks quick. Red Bull is Red Bull and competitive even if Horner complains when they don’t win 75% of the races things are unfair.

But let’s be honest we all want to see the Mango Yellow car up front this year. Viva Alonso!

 

Exactly! I hope we will not see Fernando trying out a camera or having a sunbath during a race. It's time for some success, he deserves it!

Really curious whether the silver arrows will truly be challenged. I hope so, but Mercedes do look strong again...
