At the end of last season this watch went on sale. I thought what a deal! Then Man United signed with Tag...

Not a company I know much about and bought from Eastern Europe.
Very pleased with the quality, my new BWC. Bought for under £400.

I recently bought this GUB cal. 64 for just shy of 500 USD, which seems a lot for the state it is in, but they are highly sought after by German collectors and the crucial parts on this one are all original. As I grew up in Germany, I always wanted their pinnacle movement of the WWII era. The Tutima with Urofa 59 movement has become so expensive, that I had to go with the smaller and later civilian version, which at least happens to be even more rare (no wonder given its price of 450,- M in the 50s), technically more advanced and to me is as interesting, given its historical context.
Its runs fine, the movement is in good condition but could use a service and a better suited crown.

Putting the polywatch away for now .... this lot came in under the $500 limit, if you ignore the Rolex box ....

Well, I bought this for well under the limit, more as an "object", than a watch, somthing I'll probably just keep on my desk. I went to college in Waltham and have been to the Waltham Watch factory (now a museum) so i have a sort of a home team draw to the brand. This watch with its display case and box has lived over 100 years and it shows

If you include finds form 2016, this was $500 AUD:

Bought two Seikos. Absolutely love the PADI but have put the SKX173 up for sale again. Nobody taking the bait though, so might have to keep it. What a shame... 😁

Not quite the finds that you all are collecting but I'm happy to now have a G-shock for more "risky" watch activities.
