New year, new thread.

I'll kick it off with a 2622-1 from 1951.

Bought it as a companion for a 321 chronograph with full radium numerals I purchased in 2019. The dial has some radium damage but I like the warm yellow tint. The 2622 case is also not that common and it stands sharp with the original crown.

Absolute bargain in my opinion, and beautiful patina on the dial.

oh I wouldn't call it radium damage...it's aged and gorgeous.
Thanks @janice&fred. Some debris from the radium has left some marks, but yes overall nicely aged.

Absolute bargain in my opinion, and beautiful patina on the dial.
Thanks @ERBM. Wasn’t planning on another purchase, but couldn’t help myself in the end.

Not sure I would attribute that dial to radium. Radium damage is usually far more localized...

Love that dial though! 👍

Thanks Archer.
I just drew the conclusion as the spotting happened to be where most of the radium dust could be seen with UV light. Just a coincidence I guess.

Anyone else with some good sub $500 purchases in the last 4-5 weeks?

This is a horse of a completely different color, but it fits the thread, so ...

Picked it up right after the first of the year after doing a bunch of research on quartz non-run-of-the-mill divers. I really like it a lot.

for less than $200 I could probably fill a whole page. We love bargains and fixer-uppers 😁

Very nice. I must be looking in all the wrong places! 😀

our best luck has been in small suburban antique shops and mom and pop jewelry stores. Never drive past one without stopping in for a quick look-see and always have cash with you. It can be monotonous and tiresome...until you strike gold 😁

Snagged for <$200 from ebay, then paired with a nice beige caiman strap. Pretty happy so far!

Really nice! Does it have a steel or chrome plated case?

Classy strap pairing too.
