·For sale is my 166.011 Seamaster “Jumbo” from 1965. Compared to the 166.010 models I’ve had, the beefier 36mm 166.011 has a rounded, more stately design, a Buick Regal to the 166.010’s classic Corvette lines. The sedate dial design of this particular version presents an interesting contrast for 166.010 fans like me. The watch got a full service in September 2022 and has its original crown. The watchmaker I use is great about keeping vintage watches as original as possible and his advice was “keep it out of the rain and you should be fine.” I don’t have anything more than a receipt from the service but the date is marked on the inside of the caseback. Also note how the inside caseback is double-stamped, an oddity I haven’t run across before.
The dial shows the bubbling in the finish that a lot of Seamasters of this era had. It’s not so apparent on the wrist but leaps out in closeup photos. I don’t see an Omega mark on the crystal. The accompanying 1036 beads-of-rice bracelet is in good shape. Please examine the photos to see the way the No. 11 endlinks fit to the case. I think every watch looks good on this kind of bracelet, but if you prefer we can make a deal for the head only. The case seems sharp with plenty of indications of honest wear.
Asking $965 for this recently serviced jumbo 36mm Seamaster, plus shipping from Japan. No returns—check the photos carefully to assess the condition. I am happy to take more shots from other angles if needed.
