·Up for grabs is this jumbo Omega Seamaster. As the larger format version of the 166.009, this 166.011 is sized at exactly 36mm, about 2mm larger than its contemporary counterparts. The case uses the classic ‘beefy lug’ Seamaster design, the same style as introduced with the line in 1948.
For those who want a classic vintage Omega, but prefer to wear larger than the typical 34mm watches, this will be perfect for you.
Dial: The dial is finely brushed with a lustrous silver tone. The indices are black inlaid at the cardinal points, with double batons at 12. The other indices are lapped and faceted. All minute markers are present, and all printing is original and period correct. Light spotting patina uniformly present.
Case: The stainless steel case is in solid condition, and has been polished at some point. The original contours are present, but the top right lug shows softness. There is some corrosion between the lugs; this should not be an issue so long as the watch is not worn in water. The caseback shows marks and wear, but the Seamaster medallion is sharp and still retains the correct sandblasted finish on the lower sections of its relief.
Crown: Period-correct, vintage Omega crown with ‘flat-foot’ old logo. It has scratches, but no large gouges or deformations. The correct scalloped design for this reference.
Crystal: The crystal is an original, OEM Omega crystal with the correct vintage logo. It has some light marks and at some angles, some stress marks from age. It’s been retained for originality but could be replaced if a generic of service crystal is on hand.
Movement: The movement is a 1963 Omega 562. All functions are working properly, and the watch is keeping time very well. Bridges appear to be all original, with the proper '24 jewels' automatic bridge. Amplitude is a solid 280. It’s in solid condition and is not missing any parts.
Price: Asking $585 shipped CONUS, Paypal F&F, Zelle, Venmo, or Bank Wire accepted. Watch head only, straps used only for photos. Message me for international shipping. Please no returns unless terribly misrepresented.
Don't have any OF references that I'm aware of but I've been around for 5 years now, and am a pretty active member of the community. Been shifting around my collection for a couple months and haven’t had any complaints thus far.
