Hi Yall,

What do you think of this UG Compur?I' no expert on UG chronos, so wanted to get your advice. It's a 22520, date is supposed t be from 1941

Things I am unsure of:

Dial looks Pristine. Is it too Pristine?

And There is no Swiss at the bottom (thanks to Jonathan for pointing this out).

Comes from a reptutable seller, but with UG, always want to do my due diligence

Its sings "too good to be true" to me. Very good redial. No swiss.

Are the hands relumed? It seems like it's bleeding out of the hour hand.

Subdials look quite good tbh. If it's a redial, it's pretty legit. Is that the max resolution you've got?

Sala is useless ... I do agree there is a possibility that this is a sock drawer find and it is legit. Thread you referenced has me rethinking.

Not an expert to preface this.

Lugs look VERY pristine. Which is in line with the condition of the dial. So, ether the whole watch has been "beautified", or the watch is almost NOS.

But then there's the randomly dirty/aged lower pusher...

Hands look to have aged slightly faster than the rest of the watch and the lume looks to have bled out onto the hour hand. If I had to guess, I would say relumed hands. If I say that about the hands, my guess about the superb quality of the rest of the watch might be "too good too be true".

Ok, I agree with y'all- it seems to be too good to be true

But I noticed something curious while flipping through Sala. If you look at his Compur section, the vast majority of those models don't seem to have Swiss written at the vottom. Some do, but certainly not all. Is that just a trick of the light/photography, or did the Compurs really not have Swiss written on the bottom?

Whereas the Uni Compaxes seem yo mostly have Swiss

Here's some HQ Pics the seller sent me. The more I stare at it, the Two creeping into the subdial bothers me.; Thanks Modest.

Inside case according to Sala is pre-1937. No case back pics? No SN? Also bothered by the lack of markings on the movement. Signature points to redial. I think you have enough feedback here to walk away. I have not seen a Compur this old that look's this good.

The 2 and the 10 are bleeding inside the subdials because of the retooled rounded subdial edges...
