Dear All,
Could you share your opinions on this watch? According to the seller it is 1949 Omega 36mm 2619 Cal. 265 18 k gold case.
I liked the look of the watch and I wanted to bid on it on ebay, however, the dial looked too clean for a 73 year old watch, no patina et all.
Could you tell me your thoughts about the watch?

Definitely a repainted dial, though at least a reasonably nice looking one.

As the others have stated the dial has been refinished. Case looks kind of soft tho thats not uncommon for 18 k gold case. How high are the bids at now?

It was sold for $1217 on ebay. I should have posted it before, but I came across only 7h before the end of biddings.

Agree with Austin. I watched the auction from early on but, ultimately, more to get a sense of the market - the dial refinishing, although not terrible, resulted in surface that I was not attracted to.
