Yellow is the new orange!

Orange dial watches, while not particularly common, are not exactly rare either. Doxa and then Seiko have prompted others to join on the fun, and I have myself a Seiko SKX011 in my collection which, for many years, had been my default Summer watch.

But what about Yellow? A few years back, I bought a Seiko SKXA35 with a striking bright yellow dial. At first, I found myself a bit reluctant to wear it, despite loving its look. I guess I was a bit self-conscious, as such a color is hard to ignore. But now I find myself wearing it all the time, and it has replaced the orange-faced SKX011 as my Summer watch of choice.

Are there any other yellow worshippers here?

I like your Seiko. My Constellation is trying to join the club.

One of my favorite divers is this lemony fresh Philip Watch Caribbean 1500 with Scotchlite dial.

Love it! And speaking of yellow dials, a vintage Doxa Divingstar is on my wish list.

That is a lovely watch, and I love the flaky effect on the dial.

The dial has a bit of damage and it's not all yellow but I like wearing this one.

It was orange when new. Now, after years on a southern facing window sill, it is yellow.

have fun

Love them all! I recently bought this watch but am concerned it may be a fake as I can't find an original dial that looks the same. Having it checked out by jeweler on tuesday. The marks around the "swiss made" are strange.

I like the yellow accents as well. Here is the highly unpopular "bumble bee".

I never really understood why this watch met so much hostility when it first came out. Sure, the detailing is hardly subtle, but it gives it quite a unique look. I'd love to have one of these given that my work involves being surrounded by industrial grade neodymium magnets. It would therefore fit well with my professional activities. Maybe I should suggest to my employer to issue this watch to each of its employees...

Haha, that would be a great business expense. My reasons for purchasing were similar - I work around MRI machines most days so it is nice having the anti-magnetic properties. My collection focuses on anti-mag watches and when this came out, it was the most anti-magnetic movement ever made.
