    Hello folks.

When I registered on this forum a while ago I had a few Omegas and one IWC Aquatimer.
My first "luxury" watch was the purchase of a Seamaster Quarz back in 2005 which I am still wearing in the office from 9 to 5.
During the last years I bought several other watches, mostly Omegas. Some that I still own and others which I sold to fund other purchases.
So you could say I was quite attracted to Omega only.
That changed when I saw a lume shot of a Rolex Sea-Dweller here on OF.
"The hell, this beauty doesn't have a magnifying glass" I said to myself. Why's that? I always thought each Rolex had one of these "I am old....where are my glasses..." help-me-read-the-date-on-my-watch helpers!!!
That was the time when the Rolex bug bit me. Totally!
So the more I read & learned about Rolex the more seem all my doubts to vanish.
I began to like the smaller size of a Rolex ( compared to the 45mm PO ). Heck, I even began to like the magnifying glass....

So, to cut it to the chase: here is my latest purchase. A Submariner "Hulk".

Sorry, to bother you will all these macro pics. Just got a new clip-on macro lens for my iphone and just thought I'd give it a try :)

    Thanks for reading & watching.

    Thank you.
Interestingly, this macro lens I got was only 15 Euros off Amazon. Great fun for small bucks ( talking about the lens...)

    Cheers

Green is very nice and a great addition.
Though myself, I have always thought that blue was the new orange. :)

Yep, man. Orange is always beautiful.
I had this Tudor for a while but sold it to fund other things. I had this orange strap custom made. It was a killer combo.

Rolex really did a great job with the green color on the dial and bezel. Slick and attractive without moving into gaudy territory. Congratulations!

Thomas - Great shots! I think the macro adapter served its purpose on this post. Also, love the hulk that has been on the "wish list" for a few months now. Eventually trading in batman for the other super hero posted above! 15515584_10107227334595350_1970945031_o.jpg

    Thanks for your kind words.
Batman is also a nice one. I like it when a watch has a little colour.
( don' be fooled by my avatar...just sold this one to fund other things...)

Cage match my 3313 POC vs a Rolex hulk!

    IMG_3620.JPG

Cage fight! Price vs usability vs wearabilityvs bling vs under the radar!

In all seriousness the hulk is dead sexy and I'd get one after id sourced a 5513.

Omega's orange colour is a killer. I used to own the one with the black bezel and the orange numbers.

I must admit that I like the first generation of Omega's PO better than the new ones. Despite the size it was quite comfortable to wear. The new ones are a lot thicker.

I fell in love with the orange bezel and the dial PO and purchased one brand new 4 years ago. Then when I got it, it was the most uncomfortable watch I had ever worn, too heavy and bulky....but man, that is still one nice looking watch. Mine is long gone....the liquid metal version is slightly lighter but none of them look this nice.

    <threaddrift>

In all seriousness, I think the Hulk and Orange PO's fit the same role. They are both blingy and under the radar at the same time. They both stand out but don't scream look at me. They have also both appeared as a primary image of the companies in marketing during certain periods. Both watches are not for everyone but most WIS respect them.

I also agree the 1st gen PO's wear a bit smaller then the 2nd and 3rd gen, the lower height makes a huge difference.

Beautiful Hulk. That green really pops in the right light. One of my favorites after the Polar.
