There are a few of us members here who prize their watches for their deigns, build quality, innovations - it's a small cult. Even some watchmaker who specialized in them and are a wealth of information.
What I find "fun to think about is that you could put together a sensational catalog of Bulva watches- some of the best of the best-for less tha a new Hamilton. An and have far more fun doing it.

True. I can't tell you how many watches I've bought simply because I liked their aesthetic. One was an Illinois Bunn Special I bought at a thrift store for $1.33. It was my first pocket watch and it was in absolutely pristine condition. I didn't know how sought after they were until I got home and did some digging but I liked the way it looked... that beautiful Montgomery dial and silver case....
Before this weekend the only Caravelle I had was the gold one my grandmother gave my grandfather for an anniversary sometime in the 70's.
I have the watch, box, and warranty registration card. Not that it matters, a "full kit" doesn't mean as much in terms of a Caravelle as it does for, say an Omega or Rolex but I'd never sell it.
