ยทI often find myself in Laugharne. A small town in Wales famous for its association with the poet Dylan Thomas.
Since 1247 there has been a market held in the town. Sadly today only a few ( around 6) traders carry on the tradition in the form of a flea market/bootsale. Most of the traders come as a social event as much as anything i believe and it's certainly not a bustling place. Anyhow today when I was looking through old books, spares for vacuum cleaners, tattered Jack Vettriano prints etc I came across a watch. A decent one. Not anything expensive but a solid stainless steel one, Swiss made, probably AS/ETA movement. I asked the vendor what he wanted for it. " Give me a fiver" was his reply. I paid him. "Take another watch" he instructed me. I looked down at a small tangled pile of trinkets. A casio stood out. "I'll take this one" I replied. "Good choice" said he. The steel watch is an Imado that was made by Titus Solvil. It works. Seems to keep time. It's also the filthiest, muck encrusted watch I've ever bought. The photos are from after a quick clean.
