I happened upon an estate sale yesterday. The sale had been open since 10:00am and it was now after 1:00pm, but what the heck, here might be something interesting left. And there it was, blinking in the sunshine. 33.5mm, 18mm lugs, and a very clean movement despite how it looks on the photo 😒 It’s a very fun dial.

Nice. With the rings on the dial as well? They only show up in certain light

I really like those A Schild movements. They make great practice watches and parts are cheap and available.

There are some nice watches out there which were well made and might last 100s of years if maintained. Not all watches are created equal. So it take a bit of research as to what to look for. The dial is what really can make the difference.

I am not one to go to pawn shops or auctions to look for watches, but I must say, that is a very nice find and a good-looking watch.

LOL. I used to go more often, but didn’t find much and backed off quite a bit. It’s been a good year for me, a few months ago I picked up this Elgin railroader at a local shop for not much money

Nice find! I had fun digging through watches at the last estate sale I went to. Even better if you find something cool!
