Headed to Houston this week. The trip is mostly for a conference, but I'll be there a couple of extra days visiting some of our projects and meeting with colleagues I haven't seen for a bit. Not knowing what might come up, preparation is key. This should handle anything that pops up. I'll have a couple of dependable straps on hand for variety:

The magic of Grand Seiko hands is that even though they can be highly polished, they are extremely legible most times of the day. Seiko 5722 on the wrist today:

Was considering something else. Then I wanted to change the strap on this. Only to find out that the spring bars it came with are wayyy too fat to fit in the strap, and all my other spring bars are too skinny to hold a strap in(large drilled lug holes). So after all the frustration with that I'm still wearing it on the bracelet.

A few Hamiltons from the sketch pad of Richerd Arbib showing up on the M B lately. Arbib was involved with General Motors in the mid 1940s when the Cadillac grew fins. Harley Earl was involved as well. So, I decided to upload pictures of two of my Arbib designed Hamiltons. The Ventura was the model that was chosen to introduce the Hamilton Electric in 1957. The Ventura pictured is 14-karat solid gold with a reproduction strap. The other is a gold filled Everest model.

The Ventura. Runs, but an atrocious time keeper

The Everest. Notice the"keystone" shape so familiar in Hamilton advertising.
