Grapes!

New grapes on the chicken run.

First year our now 3-year-old vines have produced.

A ridiculous tank of a watch? Yes. Super legible? Also yes. I really enjoy this oddball.

I know it's SpeedyTuesday, but woke up feeling the need for a bit of gold today...so started off with the lovingly abused Rolex I got from my Dad,

but was gently prodded on another thread to post a wrist shot of my C-cased Constellation 168.017

One is much older than the other...lol.

Where you been hiding that date?! Love me some patina - such a unique look!

I received this one as a reclamation project "gift" from my Father about five years ago. It spent the better part of a decade not running on the upper shelf of a bookcase in the New Mexican sunshine...which is how the dial achieved such a unique aesthetic...

He gifted me the watch in 2015, and it was shortly after that I caught the "watch bug" and had the watch serviced and the case a bit touched up - which I normally would never do - but as this watch will never be sold, and I love the look of the dial, I wanted the case to look sharp.

I distinctly remember when he got this watch in the late 1980's, it was partial payment from a jeweler-friend he'd done some work for. As my Dad had been a lifelong Seiko wearer, it was a major upgrade for him. I also have its steel and gold rivet-style bracelet, but it needs a jewelers attention, and I've only ever worn it on a strap, so relatively low priority to "fix".

Here's one more pic, just to make this audience appropriate!
