Several days in the mountains doing rappelling and shrooms. Back on the road today with a 1035 on the way for when I get home.

New addition. Sadly the only thing original about it is the case and movement. Replacement bezel was done sometime in the early 2000s based on the brightness of the lume (or lack there off) compared to the newer replacement parts. More recently, this 120 had the dial, hands, crystal, case back, and crown updated with Omega replacement service parts, at least that’s what I was told (I would kill for the original parts). They did however, use the incorrect shorter, black sword hands. I planned to correct it, even secured the proper hands, but I decided I actually like how it looks and will probably leave it. Found a period correct Omega 1170 bracelet that will need some attention when it arrives but it should work well. For me, this was a grail watch so I’m glad I got one in any condition, especially for what I paid. Original condition Deep Blue watches are going for ridiculous sums of money now. They are cool/unique watch’s but aren’t 10k watches in my opinion.

Thankfully they were separate events! And each a very good time on their own. FWIW, the Speedmaster - while iconic - does not possess psychedelic qualities.

Debated for some time merits of 5513 Sub vs SM300 - so glad I went for a near perfect example of the latter as for same money the 5513’s all had their issues…
