·More than i had imagined.. a friend had checked recently. I bought mine at very close to the retail price years ago, cuz it was a great combination being a speedy AND a cool meteorite slice, collection of which I have and have shared before..

·Back from four days trailering with a group of friends. I wore my survivor Caravelle transistorized while away, but back to wearing a favourite watch, today. My one-owner Rolex Air-King date which I have owned for 51 years. It began life in 1971, with a steel bezel. In 2021 (it’s 50th anniversary), I retrieved a NOS genuine 14-karat bezel from my stash, and made it into my golden anniversary Rolex. You’re not seeing dust on the dial. It has begun to peel a bit, but I enjoy it, just the same. Fitted with an aftermarket bracelet after my son trashed the original.
