Is that a Stella dial datejust?

It's enamel, so I suppose it's an early example of a Stella, but I'm sure it was never called that then (in the '50s).

I've just never seen one on a DJ before, they're highly prized on DDs but I didn't even know those vibrant colours were available back then

Le week-end est arrive 😀
Marathon back in the drawer 'till Monday. The Cyma almost made it to the wrist but was overtaken at the last moment by a 1961 Lindex - about as rare as hens teeth.

Yes, well that and the date window, 'natch. But overall remarkable similar in the lume plots and hands.

Very interesting, not too long ago I snagged a TAG Aquaracer WAB2010 for one of my brother's mates and it was a surprisingly good Rolex Sub styled diver, the bracelet bezel dial and case were all top notch, so for around $1k it was an excellent deal (including an automatic Cal 5 movement which was keeping better than COSC specs).

Quartz or not, big pluses for me are its pre TAG and its a 1000 metre (meter), which you almost never see.

This one is one of the earlier ones ca 1982, with a plain back lacking the HEUER logo of the later ones.

1000M rating makes it a massive 15.5-mm thick!

An early night ( don"t ask)
No points for guessing the dial image.

ONE of them is solid gold (the SMPP)

ONE of them is a Rolex (the... well Rolex)
