That's a beautiful Norman Morris Globemaster with a superb and unusual linen dial...Have you seen my avatar by the way?
I was wearing the Monster all day (mtn biking and yard work) but just cleaned up for dinner and put on the AP.
Causual jeans attire this sunny morning . Blue jeans and blue dialed Tissot T12 matches quite well IMHO. Gay Freres integrated bracelet, rotating inner bezel and a whopping 44mm diameter makes this a real 70's oddball!
Not sure of the age - the watchmaker who serviced it recently said that there were a number of service markings on the inside case back. Probably 1970s. It doesn't have a "series X/Y/Z" marking on the outside, just a serial number. Possibly an early production run? (I'm very deliberately avoiding the magical phrase "A series", as that really only has magical connotations for the all-steel 5402ST and not so much for the steel-gold 5402SA). Any way, the very imprecise answer is not very new. Conor On a separate note, the rewards for a hard day's work in the garden, late last night - complete with a probably miraculously undamaged vintage chronograph.
