Allow me to present my Seamaster Yachting 176.010 in 20 micron gold plating. Although not a huge fan of gold dials, I couldn’t pass up dibs on this one last year from @Andy K , given its immaculate condition. I subsequently acquired the GP bracelet, which required an entire watch purchase on C24. Matching the head's condition, finish, and overall color match appearance had me nervous but turned out pretty well, imo So after several months, I have now worked up the guts to present it here at WRUW. While GP may not be the hottest trend among our collector crowd, I must say, for the occasional day when you’re in a “too much of a good thing…is wonderful” mood…this one does the trick! Here with its SS brother, which I luv as a daily wearer. YaY!
CWC, my first mechanical watch. After I got the Speedmaster it feels very small on my oversized wrist. Nato leather from Gasgasbones. Should I cut it on top rather than fold it?
If I could cut the extra length from my NATOs, and make them look original, I would. I'm pretty sure I would hose it up, so I don't. That's as far as I'll go with my advice....
Not that hard to do - clamp the strap between two quarters and cut around, then hold the frayed end near an open flame (lighter, stovetop etc) until it melts back together
