So you kept your toy cars, your whole life and the first was a Firebird; well guess what, mine was also a Firebird and here it is in all its unrestored, un-circumcised (hood still intact) glory.
That's crazy!

My first Hot Wheels was a Firebird, too!

Keeping the toy cars (our first collection?) into adulthood must speak to the reason why we're passionate about this other hobby in the first place!

When I get home, I'll have to see if I can find my Firebird. I think I gave a lot of them away when I got older, but hopefully, I was smart enough to save 'number One' 馃榿. Mine was bright blue, BTW...

Famous 4 for my 48th Birthday

& it hasn't been a good 1. Ended up in the Hospital , sliced my side of my thumb clean , wide open on a job. Bottom of customers dresser drawer had a metal track guide & I ran my thumb underneath the entire length of it..Hurt like a SOB!

Happy Birthday and I hope you heal quickly

I'm good now. They used a medical super glue to close it the doctor said it was clean cut through and through couldn't use stitches cuz it's at the bend of my thumb. The real pain in the arse is the splint they put on my thumb
Holy crap that's like a paper cut on steroids. Happy birthday get better soon.

So, this is my first vintage Omega purchase. Given my OCD, I thought I would hate the patina and would want to flip it in short order, but I've really grown to love it! The patina actually gives a gravitas or something, like it has a story. This old Connie keeps great time and it's light as a feather on my wrist! I live in the Tropics so no longer wearing my heavy duty, modern Tissot is liberating. I shudder to think of the effect the humidity is having on my new love though!
