Felt heavy yesterday. I am no lighter today.

This pic is seven years old and both focus (or maybe more like - too few pixels) and colours are off. Still a wonderful and hefty piece of Omega history. Corderoy of course - or maybe i it was tweed... It was not a wet suit I am sure.

I swear I've seen this watch all over Instagram the last few days. I either follow you or its a complete coincidence. I'm mesmerized by the lollipop. 😀

Funnily, I don't wear this one as much as I should. So not likely me on IG, but the lollipop is definitely the draw to this reference.

I have scolded you on Instagram, but since you insist on posting that watch here, I'll repeat:

You thieving bastard! That was supposed to be mine! IT WAS MEANT TO BE MINE!

Soooo frustrated with not winning that auction...

(congrats)

Hey, don't see it as you didn't win the auction. See it as I didn't lose it instead. Better? 😀

Next time let me know and I'll keep away!! 😀

I'll contend myself in knowing that I at least managed to cost you a few kronor 😉

Anyway, I am happy to see the watch on OF. A lot of nice pieces on that auction, perhaps unsurprising that most of them went rather expensive in the end 🙁

A recent discount buy here:

Turned out rather well after some sanding paper and Brasso on the plexi and a good soak in warm soap water:

A shame that the bezels for these apparently are unavailable 🙁

I'm a new member to the Connie Club. Just arrived last night and I'm over the moon excited. Omega Constellation, 751 cal., 27 serial number puts it around 1968. Now I just need to get the right strap/bracelet for it!! L

After about a decade of contemplating if I wanted to spend $225 on the strap and $285 on the clasp, I went to a local AD yesterday and tried them on and was blown away. The curved endpieces make a huge difference, no more gap between the springbar and the bezel.

Loving it today on Throwback Thursday.

Looks Fantastic!!!

I was in Fond du Lac, WI this week for business (which is near Milwaukee). I'm told that means "Lake of Cheese". Wisconsinites are pretty psyched about their cheese in a lot of ways, the lake being just one.

Now for the good part. Our meetings ended early yesterday so I took the opportunity to see if I could shake the hand of Sheriff David Clarke. I knew it would be a long shot, but I had time, so I went. When I introduced myself to the nice receptionist, and told her I was just visiting from Maine to shake the Sheriff's hand, she went to get someone. The Sheriff was busy but his Senior Commander wasn't. He spent a few minutes with me and insisted I take a coffee mug home. An impressive man in his own right; friendly and gracious to boot. Here is the mug:
