Sleepless in Seattle, what else is there to do than spend a few hours looking at watch porn?

Hey Mr. Jones, it's a 267 -- thanks for the sweet compliment. 馃榾

Ah ha. I was hoping it might be from the elusive 510/511/520 family. I keep looking for cousins to keep my CK 14722/Cal. 520 company.

So I received this watch from my parents about 30 years ago for my high school graduation. Was an expensive watch at the time, I believe it was close to $200 back than. Well it broke and went into a draw, decided it should live again a few years back and took it to a watch maker. Don't even think he opened it. Said difficult to repair, maybe more than its worth if the circuit board is bad. Well it wasn't. So with the internet, and $35 in parts from Cousins, it is ticking again. Now only thing I would like to have an opinion on is this, seeing as it is a two tone, does anyone think I could replace the band with a leather strap? Hard to see in the picture, but the bezel is gold tone and the rest of the watch is stainless. Good idea or not?

Sorry not a Speedy for Speedy Tuesday, but one is on the to get list.

I think a leather band would dress up the watch a lot. Black or brown crocodile would be particularly classy.

Uh, what auto repair item might that be in the background? They look like tiny little pet sweaters.

Still with the Tri Compax today. Once I go to the trouble of setting these things it's hard to put em back in the box. Still it's a favorite any way.

Oo-oh, I guess I lied. I believe those are Trader Joe's cookies... 馃グ

After auto repair, I had to stop in at the grocery store where I snapped the pic...

I just got home, so I'll be doing the 'ol switcheroo now...馃憤
