Still wearing mu ´57 speedy. I believe it´s my second favorite, just after my 45.5 Ti PO. I had to send the PO to omega so they could fix the bezel. It was super loose, there was a lot of play in it and it turned around very easily.
I know the feeling. I tried it on by accident and ended up buying it like 2 months later. I just couldn't sleep thinking about it. I just had to purchase my GSOTM first.
Ha! That's pretty cool, Taddy. I had a long layover in Lexington, KY last night and was able to harass our oldest kid unit who's 18...she's a freshman at the University of Kentucky. No cool t-shirt or watch pic, however.
Black and grey Sunday! I know some people don't like NATO straps. Initially I wasn't a big fan of them, either, because they just do not go well with regular my work attire. However, I started liking them more on my SMP and PO these days, particularly for weekends when I can wear my favorite pair of jeans or cargo pants and relax. This particular NATO strap is a genuine Omega "Bond" NATO I purchased at an OB. Omega NATO straps are pretty thin and very flexible compared to those "premium" NATOs sold by various venders. So I chose a 21 - 22mm strap for my 42mm PO with 20mm lugs to make sure it will fit snugly and cover the entire length of spring bars.
OK... @JFingers... so how did it go? Any good stories? I bet you waltzed in there and shouted stuff like "Recon platoon kicks butt!" (Heartbreak Ridge -1986).
A mere $75K. I asked, $65K; they replied it has diamonds, $75K. Had it on my wrist for a few seconds. As close as I'll get to owning it. Wouldn't want it without working lume.
