That bleeding gasket under the crystal ruined the inner bezel on one of my Flightmaster. Took me a great while to source a proper replacement. And this was many years ago.
I would take care of that problem right away if I where you, while it´s still manageable.
Problem taken care of since long. I was joking around a little. That type of bezel fading will from now on be known as the rare marturx-bezel and that is of course a part of my retirement plan.
All set to drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco today.
Couldn't help thinking of this Speedmaster advert from 1957 or 1958. I just read the advert's copy today and noticed that one thing you could do with the tachymetric scale is measure a worker's productivity (in widgets/hour). I can just imagine going to one of my engineer's cubicles, standing behind him/her with my Speedmaster, and clocking how long it takes to complete a particular drawing feature. 😵💫
