Should have worn a Hamilton, but I don't own one. Instead, a watch from a maison born the same year as AH (maybe)... 1755.

Thanks. Saw it last night. Highly recommended, with one caveat: the so-called Burr-bon Manhattan is made not with bourbon but with Jack Daniels.👎

Try the Hamiltini instead.

All set to drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco today.

Couldn't help thinking of this Speedmaster advert from 1957 or 1958. I just read the advert's copy today and noticed that one thing you could do with the tachymetric scale is measure a worker's productivity (in widgets/hour). I can just imagine going to one of my engineer's cubicles, standing behind him/her with my Speedmaster, and clocking how long it takes to complete a particular drawing feature. 😵‍💫

Straight Writing today. Decided to cover scratch in dial with chrono hand. Out of site, out of mind. Nope, damn scratch has been driving me crazy.

So have you decided to get the scratch fixed since it's driving you crazy?

@sky21
I am not sure. I will either get it fixed or sell the watch. Still trying to decide.

Today I wear my Flightmaster with the no dots version and ultrasuperduper-rare styggpyggeno1-dial variation. The bezel has also started to get the extra-ultrasuperduper-rare gasketgoospecial-fading. Pushers are of the preproductionprototype-uncle variety only found on watches sold in Sweden. Will trade for the right cheese.

That bleeding gasket under the crystal ruined the inner bezel on one of my Flightmaster. Took me a great while to source a proper replacement. And this was many years ago.

I would take care of that problem right away if I where you, while it´s still manageable.
