It's not all that thick... Does the job, but given how snug it is designed to fit against the material, it's not the most sturdy...

Beautiful watch. I was in a local shop yesterday, chatting with @shane0mack and had the opportunity to see and try on two examples. One similar to yours and one with a cream dial and rose gold bezel. Sweet!
