Put the 1171/633 bracelet back on a couple of weeks ago and I can't get enough of that steel sheen

I was the very lucky winner so today its the Frederique Constant given away, to hopefully a good home, by Blufinz52.....

So its off with the Hamilton and on with the shiny new chrono........

it does fit in with the family rather well!

Lovely Sherpa Graph there Faz. 👍
But "liked" especially for the (Cuff? / Bund?) strap. 😉

I remember my Dad rocking something similar back in the Seventies. 😎

I'm thinking of trying one on my Movado Datron but 18mm seems a tall order in itself.
On top off which I'm a very fussy bugger when it comes down to small styling details. 🙄
Thanks for the comment. I had this strap made because I love the Daytona / Newman set up. I wanted to try this combo with my Speedmaster... Not convincing, so it gathered dust until I fitted my Enicar with it. The size and reverse panda dial is really cool IMO. Carrots and peas so to speak.
Cheers!

My '58 Swedish 'bomb squad' watch was a hit at an Atlanta GTG last night:

The TG has nothing to do with Bomb Squad though. One of those urban / eBay legends with absolutely nothing to it.
It was used by Swdish military officers and perhaps artillery officers in particular.
Sweden was and mostly is a peaceful country. They had no such thing as an organised bomb squad back in 58.
Lovely watch anyway!!

I "liked" your pic and I love the watch - but please stop calling it "bomb squad". The Swedish army issued Lemania Tg 195 was never used by any bomb squad. It was used by the artillery - of all sorts - big and small.
...
Thanks!

I was just quoting what I've heard around the forums (MWR and woundforlife.com). I don't doubt that you are correct about it being artillery. In fact, I'd take your word first!

Here's a few places where the terms 'bomb squad' and 'demolitions unit' were used:

There are so many acutely knowledgeable and fine ladies and gentlemen here to keep us well-informed and guided; thank you so much to the astute Scandinavians above for the correction!

And since there should never be a post (especially in WRUW) without a picture, here's one more of my Swede (inside a Brit 😉):
