OK...that's just tew kewl fer skewl. I've never seen a watch with the date at the top...that's tew kewl fer skewl (imho).
Longines among others made several different models like this...I also have these... I think it might be time for you to jump into the vintage pool my friend!
@Hijak , dude, you just shot past 10,000 'likes' here, Congrats, Ed! All so well deserved with posts like this one!!
Thanks Doug, I hadn't noticed. Right back at ya buddy, you're no slouch yourself! And I'm still waiting for that Marvin!
How could "a stuck up idiot" possibly achieve 10,000 likes. It must be a conspiracy and I suspect foul play
I "liked" your pic and I love the watch - but please stop calling it "bomb squad". The Swedish army issued Lemania Tg 195 was never used by any bomb squad. It was used by the artillery - of all sorts - big and small. Sometimes I see it is called a chronograph - which I believe is wrong also. It is a watch to easily syncronize time between users. Very handy in the artillery. Push the button and the watch stops, the seconds hand move to 12 - and at the same time the crown moves out to be ready to set the time. When the crown is pushed in - the watch starts again.
In many camps here in Sweden the Daytona is considered a girls watch. At one time it seemed almost mandatory for wealthy girls and women to have one. I guess I am a little girly - and I am proud of it.
Love how this feels on the wrist. I think as much as our puppy loves his bone (antler bone we bought yesterday).
