·Being Mother's Day and taking my wife, children and mother-in-law to brunch, I decided to attempt to be somewhat spiffy and wear the leather strap that came with my new Speedy Gonzales...but then realized that Speedy Gonzales was not protected by the Rothco band...so I quickly improvised with bubble wrap and the space man strap prior to heading out the door. No joy...I was shot down prior to getting out of the house...no bubble wrap allowed at Mother's Day brunch...

·Following the Mother's Day bubble wrap debacle and upon returning from brunch, I decided to give the replica space man strap a dedicated college try on my Speedy Gonzales...so I whipped out the instruction manual as well as the Buzz Aldrin pic and experimented in earnest. Holy smokes! The replica space man strap is VERY doable! I wore it comfortably the rest of the day...and plan to wear it all day tomorrow.
Also, while referencing the Buzz Aldrin pic, I noticed that he appears to be retrieving/stowing his sun glasses which appear to be Randolphs (about 95% sure)...so I had to fetch my Randolphs which were issued to me during Navy pilot training almost 30 years ago...

·Mine is under the knife for a new clutch at the moment. My 3 year old is asking me for rides every day...provides good motivation...

I had a targa for a for a few months and then traded it for a white '89 cab with dark blue top. Still my favorite car to this day…
Also, the only car I ever made money on (without trying).
