On the correct Bond NATO, nice ! Still think it's funny Omega went with the incorrect one in their 'homage'....
From what I understand from some research I did a few years back. The actual prop was only black and grey (british regimental stripe style) but that the camera technology of the day caused a red border to appear on film. So his strap is "screen correct" while the omega one is true to the physical prop.

That's interesting - I had read the opposite - that for ages, we had all 'seen' black and grey on screen because of the 'bad definition' of the film as it was seen on contemporary screens, and it was only with the advent of HD Technolgy that the 'true' colors were revealed ...it certainly looks green and red in this screen shot, but I guess it could be some distortion....of course to be truly screen accurate you need to put a 16mm strap on a 20mm watch ! 🤨
