Lovely dial. Does that have the 8500 movement?
2500, C I believe. It's a fair bit slimmer than 8500.

Ref# 4833.31.32 should get you started. They have different references with different coloured dials as well, white, grey, black and teal at least.

One of my favorite designs, full stop. Germans do minimal better than anyone…

I can spot a GO from across a crowded more easily than any other specific watch save for Rolex Two Tone Submarniners and GMT's.

My Brit pals get so annoyed at Americans who worship MP and John Cleese. No matter, Flowery Twats is far and away the greatest show in the history of T.V..

I was ~ 10 years old when this show was on TV (American Public TV carried the show in series). I became a 10 y/o Anglophile because of this program lol

Me?

It's a real UG Compax but a modern (1987) version with a Lemania movement.

It's only worth around 1/5th - 1/6th of the last in-house references from 10 years earlier.

I feel a little bad for the guys who bought these watches. They were purchasing the reputation of a manufacturer which basically no longer existed.

I have the original store receipt from Tourneau NY and it was $5000.00 (5,182.00, to be precise) with sales tax in 1987 dollars. Ouch.
They did however get a very good chronograph movement anyhow!

It is freaking cold in Philly. Way long line at Liberty Bell, so took pic from outside (from yesterday). Heading to NYC 😀
