After looking at thousands upon thousands of vintage watches, I've decided that a steel case with red or gold applied dial furniture and hands is most aesthetically appealing to my eyes.

Your watch is a perfect execution of this design.

My first automatic watch. Breitling A17360. Had this since 1998. Watch is still working perfectly after all these years. 448dd4165563b20186beb3bec14d0b2e.jpg

It's overdue for a service if you haven't done so already.

This looks like an important watch. Is it a homage or the real dealio?
It's a 1 off homemade watch with a scaled down CGT dial and a small mechanical 24 hour movement.

During my recent visit to Washington DC. Had an opportunity to visit the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum and see some of the Speedies that they had on display. A bit disappointing that they didn't have any of the original Apollo 11 watches on display. They seem to have them on loan somewhere else. Currently on display was Harrison Schmitt's Apollo 17 moon watch. Here is a shot of my '68 pre-moon transitional being introduced to his older cousins.
