Who says Invicta doesn’t make beautiful watches? The Ocean Ghost: Valjoux 27659 Elabore movement, solid 18k bezel insert and midlinks, textured dial and tasteful layout.

I love the cheerful chirp of the pocket Geiger Counter early in the morning 😀

A 1918 Elgin B. W. Raymond makes the perfect accordionist's watch. Am about leave to go to the Intermediate School and play instructor for the kiddies.

Sundowners..

The pb with Barking mad posts is that one never knows if the likes concern the watches, the food, or the landscape... Or all 3, as I do...

Just for fun, trying some things on today

Met a guy last weekend who was wearing this (got it for his 18th bday) along with a visit to JLC factory. I tried it on, and it was way too big (42mm) for my wrist !
Super cool but I find the dial way too crowded to read the time

Was near a Swatch store today and picked up a black Thrifty-Fathoms. It's pretty cool and the acrylic crystal and bezel are giving me nice vintage bakelite vibes. Pretty accurate too, showing at around +3 s/d on the timegrapher.

Since the price of it is cheaper than a full service on a basic Omega movement like the 1120, when it fails, I'll just throw it at oncoming traffic or something.
