Looks great. How do you like the JB bonklip?

Like it a great deal but am curious to try out the Forstner version with the spring release as this one is the pressure fit and does occasionally come undone.
Thinking in my case it's coming undone more often because I have Karen Carpenter wrists and the latch is almost around to the lugs -- and therefore getting enough play under the bracelet through hand & wrist movement that it's lifting the clap's tongue right out of the link (vs the clasp itself getting snagged on something and opening up).

D-Shape just after almost a year in the Omega Switzerland for service.

What did it need doing to it?

This is one of the letters they sent me, it basically says that they could not do anything to my watch because they no longer have the necessary spare parts.

I think you were lucky, hahaha enjoy it, they are incredible watches, congratulations!

Yes I got lucky, most of the time the service took, was the guys at Switzerland sourcing a few parts. I really enjoy my D-Shape when I wear it and now it is in better shape (pun intended) than ever... but the case and dial were in very good condition since I acquired it four years ago, according to the service notes nothing was done to it. It is very comfortable on the wrist and I love how Omega pushed the envelope with its polarizing "D" design proposition.

Serial # suggests a production year of 1963, making it 60 years old this year. I always wonder what it saw in the 50+ years while my grandfather wore it…

I requested an extra bracelet link which they looked for but were unable to find. They replaced gaskets and minor parts, nothing critical, just regular maintenance service. I also asked for an extract from the archives.

Good to know f300s are not unrepairable. I have one and am looking at another. I love them, but do worry that once they have something go wrong with them, that's it. I also worry that the movements have a finite life unlike mechanical watches which can, to a large degree, be kept on the road by good watchmakers. With tuning fork watches the number of competent people to maintain them is limited and, if some obscure part fails, I worry that there's nothing that can be done.
