I have been tweaking the settings on the AV receiver I have for my home entertainment center. So far so good. I'm almost to the point I can live with it.
However the system is middle of the road stuff. Works well for watching movies, listening to net radio or cd's. I reached a conclusion that the way my system is setup in my family room sucks. Speaker placement sucks big time.

When the weather breaks I'm going to repair the holes in the walls that were made to route cables and mount the TV to the wall. After that I will upgrade the system. I have a new in the box denon avrx8500h receiver and polk Lsim 707 speakers with a center channel lsim706c ready to be setup. I going to try and salvage some of my old sppeakes but that may not be possible.

I have to wait until the weather in my area breaks so I can get the project under way. My wife freaks out from the smell paint fumes. So I have to be able to open a few windows to clear out the paint fumes.

This time when I setup the system I will set it up the best I can. No more listening to my wife.

My wife will get upset I can live with that. The way my system now is setup my wife wanted the TV on a certain wall I get it. The TV is placed on the wall of her choice. However the speakers and just tucked in around the room without being setup for listening the way they should be.

I have a zone two system in the living room that sounds great but that is old school two channel stereo. Not the greatest for movies or gaming which the kids love to play games on.
This time around it's my call.
We have our AV tucked into a space off the family room. Works great. Zone 2 is the main family room and the CM10s fill that beautifully. Wife wants the TV over the fireplace. That will put me in your shoes. I’m am fighting that. In my favor is the fact that we would need to spend 10k reconfiguring the fireplace to make that happen.

I do use the low voc paints. I know it's great however when my wife sees a paint can. Her nonsense starts I guess the paint smell effects some people more than others. Most of the time I use Sherwin Williams paints. However I have used behr paint from home depot and it was pretty good paint

Recovering from a friends 80’s themed 50th birthday blowout party which included too many bars and a cover band.
Too old for hangovers like this 😎 🙁

Damn I'm still mess'n around with the settings on the A/V receiver. The receiver is a middle of the road Yamaha rxv673 with plenty of settings to play with. That YPAO is pretty good. I start off with the YPAO settings then tweak the speaker from the YPAO settings. The YPAO keeps setting the two front speakers to large with the crossover to 160hz I go back and set the crossover to 80hz with small speakers setting then again play with the setting. This stuff can be a pain in the A$$

Had these 3 albums on in the car today. What do they have in common? My annoyingly talented cousin Darrin plays drums on all 3 albums.😀

Darrin plays drums with rock stars all around the world... I play guitar in the local pub with my mate Matt!🙁

The Chicago Cellar Boys, in a recording I made from their first two sets last night at Honky Tonk Barbeque in the Pilsen neighborhood. I love my new Sony ICD-SX2000 digital recorder.

That's correct. Can you by pass the package software and set manually.
