a little bit of everything. Just bought 1500 records from a guy who was getting out of the vinyl business. Eric Clapton Little Feet, Dylan The birds, Jefferson Airplane, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Pat Metheny, John Coltrane, Michael Brecker , Miles Davis. The list goes on
Stunning is exactly the term I would use. This is probably the 6th time I have seen them live, and every time they put on a show that really is a work of art in itself. Just an unreal experience . And I saw MONO once like 10 years ago. Hymn to the Immortal Wind is one of my favorite records. Also an amazing show.

Don’t make me wait- stings / shaggy new single. Reminds me so much of those 80’s years with UB40 and early Sting, late “The Police”. And if you don’t recognize any of these names go Buy yourself a blue side of the moon speedy...
It's not up there with the highs of say Feast of Wire or Carried to Dust but Calexico never fail to deliver a decent album. I'm seeing them this Thursday. I've seen them live maybe 6 times before and try and catch them when they come to London.
After seeing all the vinyl lp's time for me to break out the vinyl and setup one of my turntables. Later today I'm going to install and setup the cartridge. Lately I have been lazy listening to CD's or net radio. Keeping a turntable and vinyl LP's in top shape takes a lot of TLC.
Then head over to Acoustic Sounds /Needle Doctor websites to see what’s out there! Years ago I chucked my turntable and went nuts on CDs and then reinvested in all new gear 5 years ago. I still love my CDs but it’s great to be back listening to Vinyl. A record washer (the simple yellow one) is a good investment as well. I’m amazed my HS/college/ post college records sound so good still.
Larry Thank You for the links. I ordered the spin clean record cleaning system the inexpensive yellow one. My stereo system is old school. 2 pair Klipsch belle speakers along with a pair of Bose 901's tied in amp and pre amp Nakamichi along with a Nakamichi dragon turntable and cassette deck. I have a high end equalizer tied in but I forget the brand. Along with a Carver fm tuner The home entertainment system is all modern stuff it's really setup for watching movies, tv, fm, net radio. The home entertainment system sounds good but pales in comparison to the old school stuff.
Nice, all the gear I drooled over when I was unable to afford it! That Spin Clean is one amazing machine. You will need more cheese cloth if you are doing a lot of records. Its great to get back into vinyl. All my stuff pretty much failed so my gear up was over a year and a half with some trial and error..Swap one thing out, speakers sound like crap etc. Zone 1: Top of the line Rotel AV Receiver+ B&W CM 5 + CM Center + Legacy Cambridge Sound-Works 1000 Watt Newton Sub and Satellites Zone2: 200 Watt Rotel 2 Chan Amp & B&W CM10 - Source is the AV Receiver. New Pro-Ject X-Pression III Turntable +Speed Box+Cambridge Pre-Amp+ Ortofon Bronze Cartridge. Legacy Yamaha CD and Sony Cassette decks. Both Zones sound incredible and I'm a happy camper. Bonus is that Mrs S didn't make a peep, although she keeps begging me to stop adding records and CD's. DAC next?
