An Allman Brothers compilation CD. Bummed over news of Gregg Allman's death today.

I didn't know that, really sorry to hear it. This is one of my favourites by him, just one of many.

The white noise of my $10,000 Hodinkee hour glass

Just kidding. Spotify actually hit it out of the park with this weeks "Release Radar" playlist for me.

A great compilation, great tracks from that period in the 40's/50's when the Blues began to morph into Rock & Roll. It's the real deal, move over Elvis, Big Momma Thornton is taking the stage!

Equinoxe 5 by Jean Michel Jarre, who won the Hawking Starmus medal! I remember being amazed by this music when I first heard it as a teen in 1986. ETA: I still love it today, and have another of his albums en route for delivery tomorrow.

It was 1979 for me - 15 years old and in Mexico city staying with a family there (on an exchange) and hearing Oxygène on the tape deck in the car we were in...I have been a fan ever since. 👍

He just wrapped up a tour of North America. I was crushed to see that I could have seen him last month in Boston had I known. I watched all kinds of concert videos on IG last night. He's gotta be 70-ish and is still going hardcore.

Australian ABC radio.

I didn't agree with their Number One though 🙁.

I think Bizet invented Bromance there, so it lacks the beautiful feminine component.

For all true classical/opera aficionados, what would have been your Romantic/Love inspired top pick for the No 1?

It's a Leonard Cohen night in our household.

The Canadian Bob Dylan - except way, way cooler ;-)
