I had a friend send me a video of this. I found a better one on YouTube. I’ve never seen McCartney perform this but it’s quite a lovely song.

Not the greatest quality on a cellphone but at 83 the man still sounds good, can play 3hr shows and has been with his current band longer than the his time with the Beatles and wings combined.

Trying to learn "Black Bottom" on the accordion, using sheet music transcribed for piano.

Well ... you are going to have to link to YouTube to hear it.

I don’t know if you have a good set of head phones but if so this should be listened to on good sound. My buddy is going full on Tull trying to produce magical music on various instruments his latest is a rabbit hole into the accordion. He can make it sound like a symphony, this is one of his guides. It’s very impressive

Wow Walrus!

For a "latest" rabbit hole he has a command of the instrument.

It is claimed that the button keyboard is actually easier than the piano keyboard for the right hand to play. I cannot see why. I play a piano accordion.

Thanks!

I have no recordings of my playing. You'll have to take my word for it, but at my practiced best I could muster this exact Charles Magnante sheet music arrangement of the Ernesto Lecuona composition "Malagueǹa" that is played here. I think the performer was 14 when the video was made. I doubt that I ever mastered it as well as she has. I've not attempted to play the tune since I had bypass surgery seven years ago so would be excruciatingly rusty.

This one cracks me up to hear played on the accordion, but the instrument gives a great account of itself in her hands. If I attempted a bellows shake like that my poor ol' sternum would come apart.

More from Emma Rose for those interested.

To avoid a discussion I show 4 steps of ONE song.

Where it came from ... a 1954 gospel song from The Staple Singers ...

... and even this have its roots back to 1926, when Reverend J. M. Gates recorded a sermon ...

... where it went to ... a 1965 instrumental from The Andrew Oldham Orchestra ...

... what made of it ... a 1966 pop song from The Rolling Stones ...

... and where it ended ... a 1997 pop song from The Verve ...

Another version from 2016 from the Rockin'1000 concert in Cesena, Italy
