Listened to Kenny Loggins while making dinner, dancing around the kitchen. Wife gave me killer eyes and told me to turn it down and stop looking like an idiot
While I was out on the deck having a cigar, I had L&M playing. There's something about "Angry Eyes" and "You Need A Man" that sticks in the brain
The phonograph or the watch? The phonograph is a Music Hall USB-1 fitted with a Grado Green cartridge. The watch is an Omega 176.0014.
For me Journey aren't the same without Steve Perry and Gregg Rolie, but they're still sounding good and it's great to see they're still going.
I enjoyed it so much at work earlier that I dug out my 3-channel SACD. So much better! I also really like the Mercury Living Presence version conducted by Paul Paray.
Bach's "Christmas Oratorio" in a 1966 performance led by Benjamin Britten (a marvelous conductor in addition to being one of Britain's greatest composers), and recorded in concert by the BBC (released recently by a classical collector's specialty label out of the UK). Beautiful sound for the source; they must have been able to use the original BBC tapes rather than someone's off-air dub. This issue also has an amazing performance of Britten playing and conducting Mozart's 12th Piano Concerto (K. 414).
Listening to some 90's today after seeing I Mother Earth (with Edwin!) and Our Lady Peace in concert last night - they were fecking awesome... Here's a little OLP from the mid-90's... And this year is the 20th anniversary of Scenery and Fish by IME:
Listening to Net Radio station Central Salsera playing latin hits and switching between absolute radio 60's and Antenne Bayern Oldies but Goodies
