Just about the most spine-chilling movie theme ever. Especially the second part.

I'll use your post as an excuse to share the only classical music joke I know (for those not familiar with it, the song cited above was composed by Phillip Glass). Here goes the joke:

a. Knock knock
b. Who' there?
a. Phillip Glass

P.s. Here's a fun song he composed for Sesame Street in 1979:

Very funny! But I don't think he understands children that well - that song sounds more Rosemary's Baby than Sesame Street to me.

Winding down from an afternoon wedding in Oak Park. Glad I hit the gym this morning! Miles and D'Angelo.

Picked up the remastered Trio set this week. Boy, does it sound great, and the third disc of unreleased material/alternate takes sure is nice. There's some great stuff on there.

Some guys from my hometown, singing in an, almost, dead language (spoken by no more than 15.000 in the Northeast of Portugal - and i'm not one of them, unfortunately), playing traditional instruments and the kids are wearing traditional masks (i wore one of those in my childhood):

Last night it was a little live Philadelphia Freedom from Sir Elton...

This was mostly for my wife's sake, but I enjoyed a number of songs too - mostly the earlier tunes...

Another venue tonight, with another band...tomorrow I'll be Shout-ing about some Songs From The Big Chair...

Today has been exclusively dedicated to a thorough dive through Bon Iver's new album - a stunner that will likely be the best album I hear this year. Might be a bit "new school" for some of you guys, though (😉).

Late night...but what an awesome show...

Played quite a few from their first album, so that made me very happy! Of course they finished with this...

Band was tight, and acoustics in the venue were stellar. Two thumbs up...

Not so much listening to as watching this fragment of a lost masterpiece. Spot James Cagney about four minutes in!
