Same. I’m a huge fan of progressive rock. In April 1979, I had to choose between seeing Jethro Tull or Yes. Bands like Yes (or The Who, Pink Floyd or the Stones, say) would usually skip Calgary and focus on Vancouver, Toronto or Montreal. Or, god forbid, Edmonton! I chose JT as I loved them then; Yes, too, but not as much. That Yes lineup was killer.
Tbh I would have made the same choice as you. Yes was one of first big concerts I saw. I’m pretty sure I was 15 and I was absolutely blown away by the music they made seems like they rushed through this one I posted, but they were usually meticulous and amazing. A few years later I saw Tull, I've seen yes twice, think I saw Tull 10x. Tull was just something I got into more but that’s music right, everyone got their thing. Thank god for music I can’t imagine life without it.

Posting this as one of my wife’s friends in China is very talented on these instruments and one time we were there she asked me what western music I like. When I mentioned The Beatles she bust out “twist and shout” in a similar manner as this “anonymous” YouTube video. Watching the finger work blew me away but I guess when you grow up with these instruments they don’t seem as intimidating

I pulled out an old one for driving yesterday. One of their best, yet underrated:

This brings back some of the fondest memories from my teen years!
