Yeah. They were alright. It was only the second show of the first leg of the tour. One ninety minute set and a two song encore. The next gig for me down there is Steve Hackett in April. I'm hoping for the best.

I feel as though I went of target posting odd calypso music from the great sparrow and deep tracks from the thirties etc so I’m trying to bring it all back to reality with bohemian rhapsody

Alvin and the Chipmunks...covers of 80's songs. However, slowed down to 1/16th speed...

As someone described it...

"Someone took an Alvin & The Chimpmunks album of cover tunes from the late 1980's and slowed it down immensely and holy mother God it sounds like a hardcore postpunk masterpiece. Not kidding, not one bit. This would've influenced everyone back then."

I clicked on it just out of curiosity, but honestly a couple of the tracks are pretty cool...very dark...Call Me, Walk Like an Egyptian, and My Sharona are my faves...

This comment was great...

"The first track feels like I'm driving down a desert road with the corpse of my best friend who betrayed me in the trunk of my Coupe Deville, knowing the act I committed will spark a bloodthirst for those who done me wrong within me, knowing I'll lose touch with my humanity for what I'm about to do."

Fellow OF member just reached out to me kindly suggesting a particular record. It just happens to include songs from Koko Taylor and Willie Dixon. Instantly I was compelled to hear them together. Pure greatness, amazing stuff

Dude I am not even that much of a chili peppers fan but they are definitely talented and put out some good stuff but your job really makes mine look worse. Is Dylan or Ringo playing your place? I will pay to be your friend for a few hours and I can sit very quietly keeping out of everyone’s way, I don’t take up much space if I keep my gut sucked in.

42 years later and it still sounds great. Their high water mark, imo.
Therapy!

Hey, you're already my friend and you don't even have to keep your gut sucked in. And really " the grass is always greener on the other side" I've never, that I can remember, done a show with Ringo but did do Bobby's latest here a little while ago. I think maybe December? It wasn't bad at all.

Damn I bought the video and the disk for this show. I remember the big deal it was and how it “brought the Russian people together.” Damn how quickly the world changes
