Felix Spangler "Two Spheres" CD which features his piano rendition of "Malagueña". YouTube doesn't have his performance so this one will do nicely.

Got that one on both vinyl and CD, Larry. Think we'll spin it next.

The vinyl version of "Roll Over Beethoven" is longer than the CD version, which is chopped up. Mrs. noelekal loves the vinyl version.

My copy is new vinyl ... Really into Vinyl these last few years. CD or Vinyl it's a masterpiece. Working through Good By Yellow Brick Road with Moodies I think up next and a pile of New Yorkers and Economists.

With the news today it had to be The Hip...

It was announced today that Gord Downie, the lead singer, has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer...🙁

Saw them last year on the Fully Completely tour, and they were great as usual. Apparently after chemo and radiation he is well enough for now that they will tour this summer. Will be looking for dates to maybe see him one more time...

Not sure how to link it, but I have been replaying "It Ain't Me Babe," an old Bob Dylan tune that most probably remember performed by Johnny and June Carter Cash or The Turtles. But this version by Kesha is one of the most heartfelt performances I have heard.
Sorry I can't find the complete video, but here's the complete audio (I hope).

Dang it, not working for me with the link. Worth checking out on YouTube if you can tear yourself away from watch activity!

So, went to the first outdoor concert of the season yesterday. It was a warm day at the shores of Lake Ontario...

The selection of refreshments was limited, so rather then drink some not so nice beer, I had some hard cider...

We didn't go to see the early bands (had to time it right to be home to look after the dogs) so the first band we saw was The Watchmen, and they were really good. After that was a band called Pop Evil, who were okay. Then The Glorious Sons were up - I have seen them a few times now and they never disappoint:

SM300 on the wrist for the day...

Then The Headstones were on, and they are a great band, and the best live performers of the day for sure.

A taste of The Headstones if you have never heard them...

The headliner act was The Cult, and they were also quite good. Long day in the heat and then a drive home in terrible traffic, so tired today!

More events to come this summer!

Cheers, Al

Something sublime, at the office...A mere $3-4 per disc (reissued '70s recordings).
