Oasis , Stop the Clocks . The best of Oasis on triple vinyl from 2006 with artwork by Peter Blake and yes it’s still unopened & sealed ( apart from a small tear on the back ) that happened by accident but I don’t look back in anger and some might say it’s definitely maybe one of my favourites. I also have the CD which I listen to ,usually with cigarettes and Alcohol, but sometimes maybe with a glass of champagne supernova while watching the world slide-away
Found this used for cheap and it arrived today from Canada, the shipping was more than the cost of the LP. Sounds, meh, OK, not as good as I remember the download from iTunes strangely enough. I bid on the mono version that sells for substantially more... missed the auction because we had our first non-family house guests in well over a year. We sat outside on the deck and made drinks and a charcuterie board and listened to jazz. Good times.
The SQ is pretty good overall , but side 2 is definitely not as crisp as it could be . But I like the remixes and definitely worth a listen . U2 seem to be in no mans land at the moment, given how hugely popular they were for so many years . But I think it’s part of the musical cycle .
Bit of a mix to listen to this afternoon while catching up on some work chores ,and a bonus buy from the local car boot sale .
Ahoy. New digs, rate my set up while brexit f*xks my furniture turning up before Christmas... Anyway, while I find the other 4 speakers, have been entertaining the new neighboirs with some Deanstown.
Listening to The Bends right now, coincidentally. I really like all their records, but this is by far my favourite.
