Mostly Mark Knopfler....
Privateering....and some concert dvds. Post Dire straits. Interesting to see how
He has evolved over the years. Best damn Guitar fingers.
The holy apostles club would probably be ... Knopfler...Richards ...Waters...
Clapton...Atkins ...And Little Stephen . You can determine the order.
Love my Floyd.

One of the ten albums that I would personally take with me to the lonely island must be used for this.
In 1999 the "Magnetic Fields" released the wonderful triple concept album "69 love songs".
Not everyone of the 69 lovesongs shines, but the album nevertheless contains innumerable, minimally arranged pearls with heartbreakingly beautiful melodies and great lyrics.

Another Fleetwood Mac classic crossed off my list of Mac must haves , Mr Wonderful 1st pressing in glorious mono from 68, acquired it yesterday morning at our local car boot sale . Also picked up a few other albums that I will share over the next few days .

"Exile on main street" ,my favorite Stones album
The Stones fled to St. Tropez from the English tax office and recorded an extremely dynamic and groovy double album that does not contain any big hits. The band used brass for the first time on some songs. The fans initially misunderstood the album - today "Exile" is considered a milestone.

Sea&cake
have been doing the same thing for a little eternity. The name of the band says it all, unexcited feel-good music

Good pick. I remember when that album first came out in 1972.
I was in high school and remember the first time I heard it.

Later, in 1975, I went to see the Rolling Stones in concert at the L.A. Forum.
It was a great show, for sure.

I'm so jealous, I've never seen them live.
It would have been possible in german football stadiums but that´s not the Atmosphere I prefer.

Yep, it was great. We went on opening night.
I think they played for 3 or 4 nights at the Forum for that tour.

Lots of Hollywood celebrities were there on opening night and we had floor seats.
We spotted Raquel Welch up a few rows from us and, of course, being 17 at the time, I went way out of my way to walk right next to her.
All I can say is she looked fantastic in person. 😀
