Finally getting my feet wet in the world of single malt Scotch whisky. Starting small... but I doubt it will end with this bottle.

This thread doesn't get enough love without Dennis.

Not drinking his fancy but a good old IPA tonight watching the Super Bowl

Oh I'll keep it alive. Drinking is like my second favorite hobby behind watches. 😁

try this https://omegaforums.net/threads/wrud-drinking-today.23705/page-44#post-516608 as your next bottle...and don't listen to @Foo2rama if he tells you QR is thin 😁
That's nice. May I suggest Auchentosan, triple distilled so it's easy to drink and not as... thin 😉

If you want to try the smokey peaty big boys then try Ardbeg 10. It's the easiest of the islay scotches.

These are decently priced and what I use to get people into Scotch. The Glenmorangie is nice but not as much flavor 😉

I'll sip rum or whiskey or have a beer from time to time but I'm particularly fond of Tiki drinks - both making and drinking them. 😉 Requires a bit more effort than just pouring something in a glass (and I may or may not have accumulated dozens of rums/other ingredients to fuel the hobby 😗) but the payoff is worth it in my opinion.

Castaway - gold Puerto Rican rum, Kahlua, pineapple juice
