Well, I don’t recall there being many craggy mountain tops in Teddington ..... but I guess the folks in Brazil are unlikely to know that

You can see why they did this when you consider that the original place for testing watches in London was the Kings observatory at Kew
(A bit old fashioned looking)
And the subsequent watch testing facility at Teddington (the national physical laboratory) doesn’t look right at all for marketing as an observatory.
