Gold on gold or silver on silver I can’t read easily anymore, it’s the lack of contrast. I’ve sold off most of my sexy silver dialed watches with silver hands for that reason.

I don't believe that you sold yours silver dialed watches only for the difficult to read the hours!

Just a question. Do you find gold hands on a gold face difficult to read? It is a great looking watch!
P.S. I think $20k is a bit much, but maybe that’s just me😉
I do find low contrast combinations like gold case/gold hands a major turn off.
Some contrast design elements on the hands, like on the watch for sale, and the cal 2980 Lemania below does help a bit.

I had the problem with silver on silver and gold on gold...until I surrendered and got glasses. Now I find this 34mm Omega easy to read in any light.

I purposely switched out the silver hands and inner bezel of this to black. To me the contrast makes it easier to read at a glance. Plus i have enough Bellmatic parts to mix and match as I please.😝🥱

Hmmm...I recently bought one in great condition (arguably equal to or better) for 20% of this asking price; so either I got the deal of the decade or the asking price of this Zodiac is a tad optimistic.
